Committed to our mission of improving the situation of Philippine pottery, the Salinlahi Ceramic program includes:
We provide free pottery workshops every year to low-income communities where art therapy can be their helping hand.
We will conduct a research on the challenges of Philippine potters in provinces outside Luzon. Currently, we are at the research design stage. Once done, our team will also work on the execution of our research recommendations.
We foster young talents from underdeveloped communities or places that may lack the opportunity to learn. We will act as their guide for a career in the ceramics and arts industry.
In memory of our cat rescues who left this world before us, we will re-open our hearts to foster and adopt cats by year 2024 as much as possible. Help us prepare a new home for them.
Clay used for ceramics is a gift from nature and this project serves as our gratitude for this present. We give back what we take from Mother Earth by inviting our community to donate their unused plastics to individuals or organizations with the ability to recycle or upcycle plastic waste such as Sari-cycling, The Plastic Flamingo, etc.
For every person who can show us a proof of plastic donation for 12 consecutive months, we will give a coupon that can be used to purchase a ceramic piece from Odangputik Pottery. The best thing is this coupon has no expiration date.
We launched this project for Earth Month 2023 but it will continue even after celebrating Earth Month. We believe that caring for our planet does not only happen in one month, but it should be done everyday, perpetually.
